Cacao Fine Chocolates & Pâtisserie produce premium quality macarons, chocolates, éclairs and other French-style cakes and pastries.
Since opening in Melbourne in 2003, Cacao has established itself as a market leader and favourite with discerning Melbournians for its innovation, specialised techniques and eye-catching products.
Cacao has a boutique locationed in Highpoint Shopping Centre. Cacao also boasts a healthy wholesale business, supplying a number of our premium products to high-end retail and corporate businesses throughout Australia, including 5-star hotels and First and Business class passengers on international airlines.
Master pastry chefs Laurent Meric and Tim Clark head up a dedicated team that consistently win major awards at prestigious national pastry and chocolate competitions, including:
- Multi award winners, including People’s Choice Award, at the Australian Chocolate Championships
- Multiple Gold Medals for our chocolates at the Royal Melbourne Dairy Produce Awards

Visiting our Highpoint boutique is a special experience. You’ll find a selection of over 30 fine crafted chocolates in classic forms and delicious flavours. Perennial favourites include chocolates such as the Black Pearl, Burnt Orange and the Valentine Heart filled with white peach caramel. If you can drag yourself away from our chocolates, delicately filled macarons in jewel-like colours fill our glass counters. Macarons come in irresistible and ever-changing flavours like salted caramel, honeycomb gaytime, Lemon lime and bitters, and Strawberry Yoghurt. Our hugely popular signature hot chocolate will round out your experience at our boutique. We have no doubts that just one visit will turn every sweet tooth into a true Cacao devotee!

Master pastry chefs Tim Clark and Laurent Meric lead an award-winning team working in Cacao Fine Chocolates & Pâtisserie’s kitchen and our boutique.
Tim and Laurent put Cacao’s success down to 3 fundamental factors: the use of the finest Belgian chocolate, sourcing the best local and imported ingredients from around the world, and putting these incredible ingredients in the hands of their talented team who work tirelessly to make a little bit of magic happen every single day.
We would like to recognise and pay tribute to our great relationship with our chocolate supplier Barry Callebaut since 2003, who has focused on sustainable growth within the industry along with our other key suppliers.
