Information you provide us
For cacao.com.au to process your order, we need information such as your name, email or contact number, delivery address and payment details. Other information will also be collected with your permission from time to time. This will normally include preferences such as likes or dislikes.
What are Cookies?

How do we use the information?
Information that you have provided us will be used in three ways:

Disclosing Your Information
Third party companies and individuals have been engaged to perform functions on behalf of Cacao. Functions such as fulfilling and delivery of purchases, credit card payment authorisation, trend analysis, marketing and promotions, but all information will only be used to perform their appropriate functions and not for other usage.
Cacao will pass on any information relating to suspected fraudulent activity to appropriate authorities.
From time to time we provide statistical information about sales, trading patterns and navigation techniques to reputable third parties.
This may comprise data collected about you and other users to form aggregate results. However, we will not provide any direct personal information that identifies you as our customer.
Verification of Accounts
We do use various details to verify information given to us by our members. At times, we use:
- names on member accounts to compare with information on credit cards
- we use member phone numbers and email addresses provided to us to communicate with customers about payments
- we use member addresses to check against credit card billing addresses etc.
- in cases where fraud or other crime is suspected, we do communicate with Police, Banks and other relevant authorities
- All information submitted to cacao.com.au is secured using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software.
- Information sitting on the cacao.com.au website is protected by state-of-the-art encryption and firewall technology.

Prices of goods and services and delivery and other charges displayed on the cacao.com.au website are current at the time of display. These prices are subject to variation without notice. We will always attempt to be as accurate as possible with our product descriptions and pricing, however, we are unable to warrant that product descriptions or other content on the website is accurate, complete, reliable, current or error free. Some products on cacao.com.au may not be immediately available for despatch, due to circumstances beyond our control. However, where possible, we will advise you of any delay by advertising the release or campaign (sale) date accordingly. By submitting your order after being advised of such delays, you are accepting such timeframes into which the item/s will be shipped. If there are any changes in the release date to which you have previously accepted, we will contact you accordingly.
Placing and Accepting Orders
Orders will not be despatched until payment in full has been received and cacao.com.au is satisfied with the integrity of the order. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, cacao.com.au is not responsible for any loss or damage caused by late delivery or cancellation of an order or a product. Placement of an order by you constitutes an offer to enter into an agreement with us (“your offer”). We will email you an Order Confirmation for the sole purpose of confirming the details of your offer. Please note that our Order Confirmation does not constitute an acceptance of your offer or reflect the status of your order in any way.
Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right not to provide goods or services, terminate membership accounts, remove or edit content or cancel orders (or part thereof) at our sole discretion at any time. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, we will not be held liable for loss or damage arising from the exercising of these rights.
Cancellation by You
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately on 1300 258 828. Our agreement with you only comes into existence once we have both confirmed your order and your payment has been processed. Once we have accepted payment for an order, cancellation of the order is within our sole discretion. Orders that cannot be cancelled will be subject to our terms, conditions and policies relating to Returns and Exchanges.
'Want It Now' - Delivery method
Melbourne Metro Only – Order between 9am-12pm Monday to Friday and receive your order within 5 hours using Mail Call couriers pending traffic conditions.
Just select 'Want It Now' when selecting your shipping option upon checkout.
Delivery area is a 20km radius of Melbourne CBD. No weekend delivery available.
Delivery Policy, we do not offer a 'Pick Up' service
Cacao takes no responsibility for melted product in remote destinations, however we take all measures to ensure this does not happen.
Cacao takes great care with the shipping of your order to ensure that it arrives in optimal condition. To ensure that your order does not get too hot, we use a combination of polystyrene boxes in summer combined with ice packs (year round) to keep the temperature from getting too hot inside the box.
Orders received after 12 midday on a Thursday will not be leave our kitchen until Monday with the exception of a public holiday.
We use Express Post for all standard deliveries Australia wide.
- In the event that the parcel cannot be delivered or the recipient is not present to accept the parcel, a card will be left by Australia Post explaining how pickup can be arranged.
- We are unable to deliver to Post Office Boxes.
- Australia Post deliver between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, they do not deliver on weekends or public holidays
- Orders received before 12pm will be despatched out the same day for following days delivery. The exception being Friday when orders are despatched on the Monday. The reason being is to ensure your order is not left in an Australian Post depot over the weekend.
- Orders will not be despatched when the weather reaches extreme temperatures to ensure that the product is not compromised on reaching its destination. In the event that the order will not be despatched, we will be in contact to advise when the expected despatch date will be.
How much does freight cost, and how long will it take to be delivered?
See the table below for an indication of delivery times for each state in Australia. If you live in regional or outlying areas, your order may take an extra day to be delivered.

We are sorry, but at the moment we do not ship orders internationally.
Free Personalised Gift Card
If you are sending your order to friends, family or corporate clients as a gift, we will happily include a Free Cacao Gift Card with a personalised message. It’s easy to send to specify your message, simply type in a message during the checkout process on the shipping information page.
We do not include a printed invoice in shipments, invoices are emailed to you when an order is placed.
We believe that we have aligned ourselves with excellent delivery partners, but there may be times when, despite their best efforts, parcels are delayed in the delivery process. We will always endeavour to work with our delivery partners to ensure prompt arrival of your products.
Cacao.com.au cannot exchange or refund goods due to the perishable nature of chocolate, so please order carefully.
Goods Damaged on Delivery
Cacao.com.au will replace any order that has reached you in an unacceptable condition. However, we cannot be held responsible if you are not present when your order is delivered, please ensure you get your order shipped where it can be signed for during
business hours. Please note that if nobody is available to sign for the delivery, a card will be left allowing you to collect from a local post office.
We can only refund your order if it has not yet been shipped, Once your order has left our warehouse we can no longer process a return. Please note that almost all orders ship on the same day, so let our customer service know as soon as you are able if you wish to cancel your order.
All orders must be prepaid. If we are unable to fill an order, we will arrange a prompt refund.
Purchasing online with your credit card is the simplest and most convenient way of shopping. Simply fill in your details and we bill the purchase to your account.
Cacao.com.au accepts both VISA & MasterCard.
To ensure your complete safety we have partnered with the following leading online payment solution company - eWay. As an added security measure we do not store your credit card details in our database, they are instead stored with the payment gateway provider eWay, an Australian leader in online payment solutions for many years.
Cacao.com.au currently only accepts online credit card payments.
