Centrepiece at Melbourne Park
We have collaborated with Melbourne’s new event space Centrepiece at Melbourne Park to celebrate their upcoming opening in the heart of the Melbourne & Olympic Parks sporting centre. Tim Clark, CACAO’s Creative Director dreamt up a unique chocolate dessert inspired by Centrepiece’s paddock to plate philosophy celebrating the amazing produce our beautiful state has to offer.
“I wanted to create a dessert to showcase Victorian farmers and growers, their exceptional produce and the culinary expertise our state is so famous for.” says Clark.
This dessert combines dairy from Warrnambool, backyard honey from Surrey Hills, nuts from Central Victoria, berries from the Mornington Peninsula, lemons from the Yarra Valley, free range eggs from Gippsland and native wattle seed harvested in Victoria.
Inside the hand painted chocolate orb hides a delicate egg with a lemon meringue pie centre representing the birth of this exciting new venue. Each layer reveals something surprising to tantalise the tastebuds.
