Chocolate Recipe: Rich Dark Chocolate Dipping Sauce

Recipe

Water

125g

     

Thickened cream

75g

     

Cocoa powder (quality dark)

50g

     

Castor sugar

125g

     

Dark chocolate (quality eating chocolate)

50g

     
         

Method

       

In a saucepan combine the water and cream together and bring to the boil.

       

Combine the sugar and cocoa powder together and whisk into the hot mixture. Continue to whisk until mixture re boils.

   

Place the chopped dark chocolate into a mixing bowl.

Remove saucepan from heat and pour hot mixture over the chopped dark chocolate and mix until smooth and no lumps.

Reserve mixture in fridge until required or serve immediately.

       

If taking mixture from the fridge warm it up prior to serving.
