Dessert table with a mountain to devour

Three meter dessert table with Mount Everest centrepiece

Our team was recently invited to create an edible dessert table for the annual gala dinner and awards night for San Churro Australia. The centrepiece of our three-meter dessert table was the rugged landscape of Mount Everest, symbolising the effort and grit it takes to successfully grow and run a business.

Well done to Jenny and Michelle, two of our pastry chefs, who rose to the challenge and created this amazing edible display. The mountain was made of chocolate cake and rice bubbles and decorated with CACAO's signature chocolates and macarons.

Guests were invited to bring their plate to the table and dig in to the mountain to savour a piece of Mount Everest. The table also featured a selection of petit fours - from chocolate raspberry tart to pistachio financier, yuzu meringue tart, and baked blueberry cheesecake. To finish off the display we also added a couple of our four-tier macaron towers filled with vanilla, strawberry yoghurt, lemon meringue, and passionfruit and macadamia macarons.

"This experience was a fun project for the team and a great opportunity to unleash our creativity," says Tim Clark, Creative Director at CACAO.

"We are proud of our working partnership with San Churro, which is now in its 14th year."
